Script Open Close: Goesan’s Hwayang Valley, a valley through which history flows Mountain Sokrisan Goesan’s Hwayang Valley, The Scenic Site No. 110 The Hwayang Valley is one of the 9 superb natural sceneries named by Song Si-yeol, a renowned Confucian scholar in the middle of the Joseon Dynasty(1392-1910) while he was living in retirement. There are still many relics in harmony with the beautiful valley there. The historic site of Song Si-yeol in Goesan, the Historic Site No. 417 Valley 1: Gyeongcheonbyeok Valley 2: Unyeongdam Valley 3: Eupkungam, a rock on which Song Si-yeol fell prostrate upon hearing the the death of King Hyojong and wailed miserably. Valley 4: Keumsadam Amseojae : A study which Song Si-yeol built on the rock around the Keumsadam Pond. Valley 5: Cheomseongdae Valley 6: Neungundae. Valley 7: Waryongam Valley 8: Haksodae Valley 9: Pacheon
